Wedding old school style

A Few weeks back I photographed a reception for Rebecca and Luis at Auberge du Soliel. A really nice couple, their wedding reception was full of laughter and fun. It was a joint effort, Richard Wood had photographed their ceremony and had asked me to cover their reception.  Since Richard photographs in film, I dusted off my canon EOS, and shot film as well.  Keeping in the “old school” spirit, all the following photos have not been retouched  or adjusted, they are SOTC (straight out of the camera).

Then it was “free dance” for everyone………It was like an explosion of excitment went through the room and immeadiatly the kids ran to the dance floor.

This little guy cracked me up…. he had some serious moves for a 3 year old.

the house of mouse

I took at trip to Disneyland, over the weekend with one of my favorite people, Angela. We had a blast!! The park was all decorated for the holidays, which was really neat, I liked how they transformed the inside of the haunted mansion, and its a small world for xmas.

We went to toon town and Angela got put in jail!!

By the way, all these photographs were taken with my new “point and shoot” camera the brand new Canon G9 . It’s a great advanced little camera, with 12 megapixels and the ability to set it to completely manual, this takes the place of my huge 5D when I’m on the run.

I just ordered a shootsac !! What is a shootsac you ask? Its a new off the shoulder camera bag desinged to hold your lenses, memory cards, and batteries for quick access when on a shoot. They come with covers in different colors and styles for you to choose from. It was designed by a fabulous photographer – whom I  admire, Jessica Claire.

So excited ! I just bought a new Professional Digital SLR Camera, the Canon 5D !! With a whopping 12.8 megapixels, and capability to use all my film lenses, This is my new favorite piece of equipment. The weddings that are already booked this year will most likely still be shot with film, until I get the hang of this bad boy!
